LEE PACE as 'Guardians' Villian
First off, Lee Pace has been cast as the villian in the Guardians movie. It is currently unknown who he will play exactly, but if I had to guess, I'd say Micheal Korvac.
Mr. Pace was recently in Lincoln and The Hobbit. I thought he did a pretty decent job in Lincoln but his role in The Hobbit was not much. I'm sure he'll have a larger role to play in the 2nd Hobbit movie coming out in December. I've heard from friends that he was really good in ABC's Pushing Daisies. What do you think about Lee Pace being cast? Let me know in the comment section below.
Ophelia Lovibond as "Aide to The Collector"
Ophelia Lovibond is not a name that is recognizable to me, but her IMDB page tells me that she was in Mr. Poppin's Penguins, which my ex-girlfriend dragged me to because she was obsessed with penguins and it sucked sooooo bad. But obviously you can't blame Ophelia Lovibond for the utter terrible-ness of that movie. I don't even remember her being in that freaking movie. All I remember is lots and lots of CGI penguins and Jim Carrey acting like an idiot (what else is new).
The Collector |
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ms. Lovibond will be "an aide to a being called The Collector (pictured above), who gathers artifacts and beings in the hopes of saving them from a foretold galactic annihilation.” I honestly have no earthly idea who The Collector is, but could he possibly be the main antagonist? If so, Lee Pace could be The Collector. Time will only tell!
Michael Rooker as Yondu!
Michael Rooker, in a stranger turn of events, has been cast as Yondu, one of the original members of the original 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. Since the original team were alive some 3000 years in the future, one can only assume that there will be some sort of time travel plot device. Either that or they are rewriting the history of the comics, which is fine, whatever.
Yondu: Hawkeye in Space |
Lee Pace is a decent actor. I've watched Pushing Daisies before. Never heard of the other two actors though.
