In this week's Guardians Giveaway, we will be giving away a copy of Annihilation Book 2 (TPB). Annihilation is a storyline that led to the newest incarnation of Guardians of the Galaxy. If you haven't read Annihilation Book 1, it is available on the Marvel Comics and Comixology apps for iPhone or other devices. Book 2 features three sets of comics: Silver Surfer, Super-Skrull, and Ronan the Accuser. The Ronan the Accuser storyline heavily features current Guardian, Gamora. Plus, with Ronan the Accuser playing a role in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film, now would be a good time to read up on him.

My favorite villain is Loki because the actor who portrays him is very convincing. Since he is Thor's brother, one would think he might have a redeeming quality somewhere in there, but he doesnt. He is still evil and manipulative. My email is heather.johnson.x0@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Marvel villain is Galactus. I just love him because he's so powerful. He can drain all the life-force from a planet for nourishment. That is probably the coolest thing of all-time. He's so powerful he has heralds that follow him and find planets for him. Barely anything can defeat him. He is the most powerful and amazing villain ever in my book.

Except he isn't a villain. He is a force of nature.
DeleteMy favorite villain will always be Dormammu actually. He's so very awesome and I loved reading alot of the old books he was in. I'm happy to hear that he's been in more books recently but I haven't gotten to pick them up yet.

Magneto is by far my favorite. He has an interesting and unique power, and he's one of those villains that you can understand where he's coming from. He just wants what he thinks is right for the mutant community. Plus, he's such a classic baddie. My email is alexpenrose5@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite villain is and always will be Dr. Doom. I feel like he embodies villain. There is something always sinister about him, even when he is on the right side. He emits power and strength. He is a ruthless tactician. He doesn't want to just beat his opponents. He wants to crush them so they never dream to rise up again. shaunt1108@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWhen Adam Warlock turns into the Magus he is pretty awesome. Terrifying and a trickster.

My favorite villain is thanos. Due to his origins, it's as if he was destined to be a sort of harbinger of death.

It's hard to choose a favorite. Marvel's overall rogues gallery has some heavy hitters, for sure. If I had to choose, I think I'd say Venom (Eddie Brock). He was always a fascinating subject for Spider-Man to face, because in one way he's the antithesis to Parker, and in another a vision of what Parker could have turned himself into. Imagine if the Venom symbiote came to Peter Parker at the time of his Uncle's death, when his mind was clouded with revenge. Perhaps the story would have changed for the worse. Overall, Venom has a killer design and the books including him are among my favorites.

My favorite has always been Venom. I just love his raw power and the destruction he causes.

My favorite villain is Carnage.
ReplyDeleteFavorite villain is Mojo. He's done so much craziness over the years and has been responsible for some fairly neat storylines such as Longshot & Shatterstar and Psylockes bionic camera eyes

My all time favorite villain is undoubtedly Electro. I always thought he was kind of a nobody, B list villain at best. But after I read the Marvel Knights Spider-Man, I started to like Electro a bit. He wasn't just some stupid buffoon who did the back and forth with Spidey, shook his fist at the end and shouted "I'll get you, Spider-Man!" He straight up murdered people. And didn't give any damns.
ReplyDeleteBut what made me absolutely fanboy over him was when they had him on the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. Electro was just some average guy, Max Dillon, who got electric powers by a lab accident. All he wanted after that was just to go back being a normal guy, with a normal life, and not be bothered. But Spider-Man sees him, automatically pegs him as a bad guy and starts a fight with him just so he can get pictures for the Bugle. He never wanted to be a bad guy, Spidey pushed him to become one, and for that earned himself a life long enemy.

I would have to say currently Adam Warlock Magus is my favorite villain right now. I got back into comics through the '08 Guardians run this past year and just fell in love with the whole plot. However, Adam becoming the Magus is pretty crazy because he is so powerful and just insane. It was a really fun aspect of the comic, especially how he rules the Church.
ReplyDeleteI will also add that because I haven't read too much just yet, I really thought Ultron was cool in the recent Age of Ultron run. Being a super robot is awesome and I thought he was unpredictable and a villain I would like to read again next!

Thanos.
ReplyDeleteInfinity Gem fisticuffer with a granite chin that took a lickin against some serious top cosmic contenders. I mean just look at him. Thanos has a permanent mold of a beard on his chin. He gave Hulk and Drax a one handed pimp slap. You see how this guy is friggin built? What gym in the universe can shape the muscles of a titan who punched Captain Mar-Vell from the moon and back to earth? Thanos can probably get any girl he wants, but who does he ultimately go for? Death. Yeah... Death. As a present, he destroyed an entire universe for her. The Mad Titan is my favorite villain of all time and I can't wait to see him on the big screen.

I'd have to say Carnage. He's raw power in the most terrifying of ways. Plus with his new story arc coming up who knows the true extent of his power. (Plus the artwork in Carnage USA is nothing short of gorgeous)

Thanos. A hopeless romantic, a mass murderer, sides with the good guys when it suits his needs. Love everything about him.
ReplyDeletedragonmgmt@gmail.com
DeleteI'd have to go with the High Evolutionary, he's a ridiculously complicated "villain", and calling him as such never does give him much justice. He was really cool in the Silver Surfer vol 6.
ReplyDeleteadamtimtim@gmail.com
My favorite is Magneto. He's incredibly smart, cunning and evil, but he always has a justification for his actions so he's also relatable
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was the Red Hulk in his more rebellious days before he became an Avenger. I just always enjoyed how smart he was and he was always fun to read. I mean he punched a Watcher! If that doesn't scream awesome I don't know what does
