Guardians Giveaway: Annihilators (TPB)

We haven't done one of these in a while, but due to all of the traffic lately, I thought it'd be fun to do another one. This week, we will be giving away Annihilators (TPB). It features Annihilators #1-4 as well as Rocket Raccoon and Groot's mini-adventures, which are a lot of fun.

In order to be eligible to win, post a comment below and tell us why you can't wait for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie or what you enjoyed the most about the leaked D23 footage. Also, make sure to post your e-mail address, so that we may contact you.

The winner will be announced Friday morning. Good luck to everyone!

  1. I loved seeing Rocket Raccoon firing a gun from Groot's shoulder. That's straight out of the comics, right there.

  2. I work for Denver Comic Con and one of the coolest aspects of our con is the fact that we support Comicbook Classroom which teaches children to read by using comics. How does this tie in? Well, all of these comic movies help promote comics and the legitimacy of the medium as literature. Guardians of the Galaxy, in my opinion, is one of the lesser known comics with really col characters and storylines. The exciting thing about the movie is that it promotes both comics as literature as well as a lesser known team/series.

  5. Easily the best part of the D23 footage was RR shooting his guns and screaming. Yeah.

  8. I'm most excited for Rocket Raccoon and Groot. But most of all, I'm excited to see Chris Pratt as Star-Lord. I have been watching Parks and Recreation and he is my favorite character on the show. I'm glad to see Chris Pratt finally get a leading role on the big screen and as the leader of my favorite comic team!

  11. When they first announced this movie, I went and read all of the GotG related books, and just fell in love with Cosmic Marvel. (I like the space stories more than the Earth based stories)

You just know Rocket is gonna steal the show. Can't wait to see and hear the reaction from non comic ppl.

  12. What I enjoyed most about the leaked footage....

Seeing Rocket Raccoon brought to life exactly how everyone wanted. I Geeked out when I first heard the announcement last year when they put up a pic of RR up on the screen at Comic Con and the crowd went nuts. Looks as though marvel and James Gunn have produced the most truest comic book to movie hero yet. The expression on his face whilst firing a gun the same size as him is pure Rocket. Cannot wait!

    2. Very true. James Gunn has done a great job at staying true to the comics. I know the story of how the team gets together will be different but the essence of the characters still seems to be intact.

  13. For me, I was pleasantly surprised by it all. While I'm a big Guardians fan, not only did I have boatloads of skepticism about the movie being made, but also about it being done well. All that was put to rest by the costumes, and bits of CGI I saw. This is a space opera in the way I wish Green Lantern was.
