David Klakus, the guy who made
replicas of Star-Lord's guns, has also made accurate replicas of Drax's daggers from the upcoming
Guardians of the Galaxy film. Here's a short description from David of how he made them:
"The daggers are laser cutted, the blade is filled with
bondo and sanded down. The grip is a clay sculpt, cast is a cold cast
aluminium and nickel metal."
The actual prop daggers were on display at this year's
San Diego Comic-Con, along with Star-Lord's guns and mask. For people who can't wait a year or so to see if the "official" replicas will be released, David is not selling Drax's replicas due to copyright laws.
I would love to be able to make stuff like this. David Klakus is a master!
