Well stated. Heh. Really, though I've said it before but Rocket is just so unique. I know there is *that* Green Lantern character (and that's who I'd pick if I *had* to pick one), but him also being a little mammal doesn't make him Rocket. Different powerset, for one, and Rocket is so much more than just a raccoon. His personality and attitude make him unlike anyone else.

Great choices. As I said above, though, I don't think DC has anyone that totally captures the essence of Rocket, but Ch'p seems to be the closest, I guess. Admittedly, my knowledge of DC is limited to cartoons, movies, games, etc. Unlike Marvel, I've never read any actual DC books. So, I probably won't try to create my own list.
DeleteI grew up reading half-and-half, for the most part. I've always been a huge GL fan. (That's shocking, right? More cosmic-based characters!) I think Ch'p really is the closest, not just because he's animal, but he's got some snark to him, he can be a bit trigger happy, and he's kind of brilliant, all depending on who's writing him. He's not the most fleshed-out or in-depth character, but I think he's definitely a Rocket-Lite. Guns really aren't as big of a thing in DC as they are in Marvel, have you noticed that? There's not nearly as many big-gun toting characters, and those that are tend to be villains.
