Last year, blogger Brandy Woodards was lucky enough to visit the set of Marvel Studio's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film. While on the set, she was given the opportunity to explore the interior set of Starlord's ship, The Milano. While she can't give too much away, Brandy described a little bit of what she saw:
"The version of the Milano we explored was strickly the interior of the ship. Lower level was the bunks and general storage and the upper deck was basically the cockpit. When inside the ship it was a completed interior in every way. Hopefully in the movie they show a good shot of Peters bunk because the small details they added with 80's references are awesome."
Sounds pretty cool, right? Can't wait to get a better look at the inside! Hopefully Marvel will have a life-size replica at Disneyland in July! If not, get on that NOW Imagineers! What do you hope to see in The Milano? Drop us a comment below!

This is very lovely. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for this ship. I expect it to go down in history alongside The Millennium Falcon, The Enterprise,The TARDIS and Serenity as legendary sci-fi vessels.
ReplyDeleteSince Gunn used to work for Troma and Lloyd Kaufman is supposedly making a cameo, I wonder if there will be a Toxic Avenger reference in Quill's bunk. Maybe an action figure or poster?
ReplyDelete"small details...with 80's references" - legendary inside and outside...space shuttle? Michael Jordan? The Clash? Michael Jackson? Not to mention Indiana Jones, E.T. August can not come soon enough!!!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that the ship's computer will be voiced by Alyssa Milano (it's only fair)
