- UPDATE: 2:23PM EST - At Hasbro's Toy Fair event on Saturday, they announced new Guardians of the Galaxy figures including a Star-Lord blaster for kids, Big Blastin' Rocket Raccoon (animated 8" figure), 2.5" Figures including every Guardian, the Milano Ship and Rocket's "Warbird". Also announced were Cosmic Iron Man and Nova Marvel Legend Figures, as well as the five Guardians already announced. Groot will be 9" Build-A-Figure. There will be two villains included with the Gamora and Drax Legend figures. Star-Lord will have Mask, Gun, and Walkman. Drax will have unknown weapon from the film.
- Hasbro will be showcasing their new Super Hero Mashers lineup, which will include a few Guardians figures.
- LEGO will be showing off three Guardians of the Galaxy LEGO sets, as well as a few new Guardians minifigures.
- Huffy will showcase Guardians of the Galaxy bicycles, tricycles, and scooters.
- KidDesigns will unearth some Guardians of the Galaxy electronics for kids, including walkie talkies, headphones, and earbuds.
- LEGO has released the following image of their first Guardians of the Galaxy LEGO set. It features the Guardians' ship, named 'The Milano,' as well as Starlord, Gamora, Ronan, and Sakaaran Guard minifigures. The set is made up of 664 pieces and will cost $74.99. Check out the images below...
- Hasbro are giving away these free posters at the Toy Fair, which feature all five Guardians of the Galaxy as Marvel Legend Figures. Apparently, there will be two more figures in this line of toys (hopefully Nebula and Ronan), and the Groot figure will be a Build-a-Figure. Each figure will cost about $19.99. Check out the picture below...
I can't see the Sakaraan guard.
ReplyDeleteI don't think a picture has been released of it yet.
DeleteHe is piloting Ronan's ship. He is hard to see but he is in there.
DeleteGreat coverage guys!
This site *is* the awesomest, make sure to bookmark it.
DeleteOf course the two villains figures are going to be Ronan and Nebula.
ReplyDeleteRichard rider as NOVA PRIME!
ReplyDeleteHere's the green Rihanna lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd here's the racoonatic himself!
ReplyDeleteI've got to have the Rocket figure!!!! I hope it doesn't cost too much.
ReplyDeleteSo looks like Rocket has some exposed metal on his skull huh? Also when Rocket yells what does it sound like?! Can you shoot a real quick video?
ReplyDeleteNot so much exposed, he's not a robot, it is some sort of cybernetic implant.
DeleteI hope Ronan is not going to be a bland villain like Malekith.
ReplyDeleteHow much is the giant Rocket gonna cost? Well honestly how much are most of these figs gonna cost. I neeeeeeed to know.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I need the price on that big one, too.
DeleteI'm not sure yet. Once everything calms down, I'll post all the prices.
DeleteAwesome. Almost afraid to find out. Heh.
DeleteI also like that Rocket Powered thing. Love he is a big part of the marketing for this stuff because, well, this is the #YearOfTheRaccoon!
ReplyDeleteKorath looks like shit.
ReplyDeleteDoes the Legend Rocket Raccoon come with any accessory or the big piece of Groot? Seems kind of a let down if Gamora & Drax come with enemies, and Rocket comes by himself.
ReplyDeleteI think they will all come with accessories.
DeleteNOVA!!!!!!!!! I'm getting that, no matter the price! And I'm going to actually play with it!
ReplyDeleteA few questions_
ReplyDeleteDoes Milano mean anything to anyone? It certainly resembles Ship from the comics to me.
What's up with the blood X's on Ronan and Ronans ship?
The Milano and Rockets ships colors match the Nova ship, wonder if they steal them or something?
Anyone else notice anything else?
I had the same thought on the Milano totally Nova colors.
DeleteThat would be awesome if The Guardians commandeer a Nova Corps spaceship.
DeleteJust wanted to point out guys, from the looks of these figures it appears the aliens that were pointing their guns at Yondu in the set photos of his crash are in fact Sakaarans.
ReplyDeleteYou are right! Awesome find.
DeleteFound a video of the talking Racket with the voice shown.
ReplyDeletehttp://instagram.com/p/kc4_dGoyXW/
"You wanna get to him, you go through us!" I love it!
DeleteThe only major problem I have is that Korath looks like a black guy with armor on. He should be blue like the rest of his race (or maybe they won't have him as a Kree)
ReplyDeleteAnd Gamora looks more like Pam from Martin than Zoe Saldana, lol.... but thats minor. If the toy looked like Zoe, I would definitely get it.
Oh God, I hope they make a statue of Zoe as Gamora :)
And that one toy of Groot looks like something bad is gonna happen to him. Just look at his right arm and part of his chest and face.... Poor guy
ReplyDeleteThe first Gamora toy pic up there look slightly as Zoe.....
ReplyDeleteA little bit. I heard the figure that will be released will have a more accurate head sculpt.
DeleteI hope so
DeleteSo, noticed the LEGO set Rocket is gonna be in "Knowhere Escape". Knowhere is gonna be in the movie?! :D Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYAY!
Delete@RacoonRocket, that was mentioned in the credit for the LEGO pic, is one of my Twitter friends. A one time pretender to my throne. Heh. I gave him the title Raccoonatic Marshall.
ReplyDeleteAlso, even *more* Rocket stuff?! I mean, great, of course. But, I am Rocket's #1 fan, I am not his *wealthiest* fan, however. Heh.
I know...I'm gonna be broke by the time the movie comes out.
DeleteYes! All of those GotG POP Vinyl figures will be added to my collection. I also might get the wacky wobblers.
ReplyDeleteWill pick up all the POP's to add to my collection.
ReplyDeleteGroot and Star-Lord look so dope.
Will probably get a Star-Lord bobblehead too.
Sad thing is new 2-packs are only 2.5 inches in height. And the 6 inch figures are made from easy break plastic. Didn't GI joe sigma6 try this and is was a disaster for the company. What makes Hasbro think this will do any better? Kids and collectors today expect more from figures and that includes articulation and accessories. And yes we can have both so the word is HUH? and WHY? But thank god Lego hasn't and refuses to drop the ball.
