I loved this issue. Lots of fun bits. Some moments where you go "Really, Bendis? REALLY?" but in a totally good way. He can be a really big dork with his dialogue sometimes. "It's all new." Come on, Bendis. lol I LOVE the idea of a Peter Quill/Kitty Pryde relationship. Kitty was just way too cute there. Jean's new powers and Scott running off... I just love the directions these new X-Men are going. I'm excited to see what comes next for everyone. Angel is obviously pining for Jean Grey, which is expected, but irritates me all over again. Jean is great and all, but does everyone but Bobby really need to fawn all over her?
Rocket and Groot need to be on every page, just for one panel. Everything they say is gold lately. I also want a Drax and X-23 team up. Just those two. No dialogue. Just 22 pages of them kicking ass and not bothering with the names. Inbetween fights, I'll allow for dialogue while they discuss kill number a la Legolas and Gimli.
I love how in two panels Bendis plants the seed for something to happen with Jean and Angela.
People who hate on this book have no soul. And probably liked Man of Steel. {sarcasm}
Thanks, Anony! I'm glad you enjoy my mini-reviews so much. I love hearing from my biggest fans. Swing back by later and I'll sign one of my glossies for you. Mwah! Much love.
I'm with you on finding the idea of Drax/X-23 interesting. And yes... I found myself shipping Kitty and Pete a little myself. Great issue. Overall I *loved* this crossover. Lots of great moments for almost every character.
I think their e-mail is Marvel@Marvel.marvel...in all seriousness, a Gamora/Angela mini-series would rock! Maybe after the movie, the Guardians can have a few different series. Already gonna be two series with the new Skottie Young Rocket Raccoon one.
XD I find myself just wanting lots more Marvel Cosmic stuff. And you know it's getting more popular when they keep throwing the non-Cosmic characters into the cosmic stuff. All-New X-Men, Avengers, it's all looking more and more Cosmic. They have to be thinking about this stuff.
Finally got to read it at lunch today. Without giving much away to those who havent read it... Rocket made my day with "...put on some krutacking pants!"
And yes... I'm ALL FOR a Angela/Gamora mini. That would make me absolutely giddy.

Totally agree. Great issue! And a satisfying conclusion to what was an awesome storyline.
DeleteGreat review! I loved this storyline, but I am excited for the next issue, since it will feature the return of DnA and Starlord's mask.
DeletePeople who like this book have no brain and no standards. And probably liked the Transformers movies.
DeleteActually, I hated Transformers, but I still like this book.

DeleteI've got to get this TONIGHT. Any more scenes between the Murder Girls (thank you, Rocket, for that wonderful term)?
ReplyDeleteThere's a couple of panels between the two, not much though.
DeleteWe need a Gamora/Angela mini-series. Anybody got an email for Marvel? They need to know these amazing ideas we're having. lol

DeleteWell, there's only so much they can do on Earth. In space, the possibilities are endless....*cue the inspiring music*

ReplyDeleteThis was a good issue. And nice to see young Jean gain powers that older Jean didn't have/ develop.
