GOTG Movie News Roundup

Hello fellow guardians! Welcome to the #1 Guardians of the Galaxy Fan Blog on the Internet! (Well, hopefully #1) I'm kind of like the Star-Lord of this blog. I'm going to do my best to deliver all the Guardians of the Galaxy news that I can find in a timely manner. Since we are just getting started a little late in the game, here is a round-up of the biggest 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movie news I can find.

1. Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation) is Star-Lord:

Note: Honestly, I never expected this, but I'm definitely okay with it. Pratt is great on 'Parks and Recreation' and I've heard from a close friend that he did a great job in 'Zero Dark Thirty,' even getting really in shape for the role. I think he'll be able to handle the comedic side of the role, mixed with the dramatic and action-oriented aspect.

2. James Gunn is directing:

Note: I've seen 'Super' and 'Slither' and I loved both movies (they were both hilarious). I'm all about giving upcoming directors a chance to shine in big budget. It seems like they always work harder to impress. I'm definitely rooting for him!

3. Dave Bautista is Drax:

Note: Dave Bautista isn't an inspired choice, but I guess Drax doesn't really need to show too much emotion. He's basically a killing machine with a heart of gold. It'll do. Plus, I can't really judge Bautista. I've never seen him act before. He might be born to play this role.
