Question: Who should play Gamora, Rocket, or Groot?

Now that Star-Lord and Drax have been cast, we are awaiting to hear a few more casting announcements.

Gamora:
Since Gamora is often referred to as the "most dangerous woman in the galaxy," we're going to need an actress that can bring an amazing physicality to the role. Also, Gamora is quite a looker, so someone who isn't too hard on the eyes either. If I had to choose someone for the role, I'd choose an unknown actress with a background in some style of fighting and swordplay, but also someone who can bring a lot of depth to the role. Since Gamora is the only female on the team, she needs to be a fully fleshed out character, with real emotion.
Rocket and Groot:
In an interview between Marvel Producer Victoria Alonso and Cinema Blend, she was quoted as saying:
"You can’t do any motion capture with a raccoon – they won’t let you put the suit on [laughs]. But we will do rotomation, probably, for some of the behavior. Rocket will have his own personality, of course, and clearly we can’t do mocap on a tree, per say, but we definitely will have performers to emulate what James Gunn will lead to be the behavior and the performance. He’s very clear on where he wants to take the characters."

 Rocket Raccoon:
So now we can assume that Rocket Raccoon will be completely CGI and will feature the movements of a real raccoon featuring Rotoscope. Pretty cool, huh? What I'm wondering is, who will voice the small, hairy scoundrel? There have been rumors that Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey were involved and some suspected that they would be voicing Rocket, but I don't think so. In the 'Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom' game, Rocket speaks in a Cockney accent. Also in 'The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes' episode 'Michael Korvac', Rocket is also given a Cockney accent. Personally, I don't think Marvel is going to change his accent for the movie, but you never know! Who would you like to voice the little guy?

 Groot:
The tall tree with a limited vocabulary will be completely CGI as well. As Victoria Alonso said in her interview, there will be performers emulating the movements that Groot will make, but not necessarily mocap. As far as who will voice Groot, I doubt it will be a big name actor. In fact, it could very well be someone who has never acted in their lives, such as someone involved the animation. I wouldn't expect a household name, but who knows! Who would you like to hear utter that famous phrase, "I AM GROOT!"?

I'm all about casting unknowns, but what established actors would you like to see play these roles? Leave a comment below!
