This week, Yourprops.com posted a call sheet for Guardians of the Galaxy (which has since been removed), providing vague descriptions for two scenes. The first scene takes place outside a Xandar Mall: "Peter Quill leaving Bereet, then flirting with Ti Asha on his way to a Broker's Shop." The second appears to be happening simultaneously: "Rocket Raccoon's vid shield Point-of-View of Peter Quill, Bereet and Ti Asha."
ComicBookMovie.com posted a theory that I quite agree with. Last year, the unofficial log line was that the movie would follow a "US pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants." If Peter Quill is on Xandar, home of the Nova Corps, and is heading to a broker's shop, that means he has something of value and if that something is something everyone wants, could it be the Infinity Gems? I mean, it certainly make sense to introduce the Infinity Gems now, since the Marvel Cinematic Universe is clearly building toward an epic showdown against Thanos. What do you guys think?
