Yondu returns to Marvel Comics in Inhumanity

Yondu is back!
Entertainment Weekly has released a teaser image and information about a new comic series starting in December, called Inhumanity. The series will focus on "The Inhumans," a royal family whose ancestors were given super-powers by Kree scientists millions of years ago.

Without going too much into detail about The Inhumans, I'd like to focus on the beautiful teaser image for Inhumanity (by Steve McNiven and pictured on the left). It is obvious that this will be a large event featuring many characters in the Marvel Universe, but check out the blue guy with the red mohawk in the bottom right corner. That's original Guardians of the Galaxy team member Yondu.

We've known for a while that Yondu would be making an appearance in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film and that he would be portrayed by The Walking Dead's Michael Rooker. This is a smart move by Marvel to bring him back into the comics so that more people will know who he is before the movie comes out. That seems to be their strategy for many characters lately including all of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Since we know that Yondu will be appearing in Inhumanity, one could assume that he will show up in the Guardians of the Galaxy comic before then.

What do you think? Are you excited about Yondu's reappearance in Marvel comics? We'd love to hear your thoughts. Drop a comment below!

    1. Hello Derek,
Check out the review of their first appearance I wrote last week.
I'm planning to do more of them in the near future as well.

Am I excited? You probably know the answer to that :)
