Gregg Henry (Slither / Super / Payback) joins cast of 'Guardians Of TheGalaxy' (19th Aug 2013)

Via Twitter, character actor and previous James Gunn performer Gregg Henry has confirmed he will be joining the production at Shepperton Studios in London for a yet-to-be-announced role in Marvel Studios' Guardians Of The Galaxy


Henry has been a fixture on movie and television screens for decades, carving out a niche for sharp, wily, fast-witted protagonists and stoic, dependable authority figures in shows such as 'The Riches', 'Hung' and, most recently, AMC's 'The Killing'. He has also has experience with sci-fi before, starring in 'Star Trek: Enterprise' and for Joss Whedon in both 'Firefly' (The Train Job) and 'Dollhouse' (Haunted).

Most relevantly, of course, Henry has previous form working with James Gunn in two of Gunn's films, 'Slither' and 'Super', so he'll be joining the production as another of Gunn's 'good luck charms' as well as a formidable actor. Henry's character will be confirmed as soon as it's announced.

'Guardians Of The Galaxy' is currently in principle photography in England and is scheduled for a August 1st 2014 release.
