Possible Guardians of the Galaxy Alien Designs Revealed?

UPDATE: As a reader commented below, the woman with the tentacled creature coming out of her head could be a reference to the "Many-Angled Ones" from the Cancer-Verse. They are tentacled creatures who "manifest inside of a host."

Guardians of the Galaxy is currently filming at Shepperton Studios in England. CuretonJones on Twitter posted this picture today, with the following description:

"Can't believe how amazing today's makeup was! #sheppertonstudios #brushstrokemakeupschool"

Brushstroke Makeup School is a school at Shepperton Studios (where Guardians is currently filming) for people wanting to learn the trade and get into the industry. Although this makeup test is probably unrelated, I wouldn't be surprised if this had something to do with Guardians of the Galaxy. Maybe they are using the school as a way to come up with alien designs for the movie. Either way, it's a pretty cool picture with some awesome talent behind it.

What do you think? Is this Guardians of the Galaxy related or not? Drop a comment below.

  1. Even if it's just background extras or half-second Mos Eisley/Cantina type shots, the more aliens the better. It'll make the 'cosmic' aspect of the movie that much bigger and feel that much more like you're actually in space.

    1. Very true. I'd love to see this film feature as many background alien races as Star Wars. I hope that Marvel releases a behind the scenes book with closer looks at all of the alien extras.

  2. The tentacles remind me of the "many-angled ones" from the cancerverse.
