GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY to Feature Nova Corps Ranks

A "human rocket" requires sustenance.
Since we first learned that the Nova Corps would be featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, many fans wondered if the film's interpretation of the "galactic police-force" would be loyal to the comics. After Marvel revealed two of their Nova Corps guards at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, many fans worried that the Nova Corps would be treated as nothing more than 'jail cops' in the film, with the inability to fly or use the Nova Force

According to actor Ian Jame Seale's official website, he will be playing a "Denarian." For those unfamiliar, a Denarian is a rank in the Nova Corps. This may be our first indication that the film will be staying accurate to the Nova Corps ranks of the comics. If that is the case, we can possibly expect to see some "human rocket" action in the film.

What do you think? Do you think the Nova Corps of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will stay close to the comics? Drop us a comment below!

    1. It would be cool. What if they made Peter Quill and Richard Rider childhood friends?

  3. Rider, sure, but do you think they'll have Sam Alexander as well?

    1. Maybe, some older fans might not be too happy if Sam shows up though.

    2. I'm a huge Rider fan, but I think having Sam Alexander is probably the more likely move for Marvel. Since they don't have Spider-Man, Sam Alexander Nova is their next best option for a teen hero.

  4. So then we should be seeing some other styles to the Nova suit from what they've been showing?! Thats good, cause these guys look like simple space cops

  5. Hopefully the suits we've seen are just for guards and we will get to see at least a few guys who actually have Nova-force powers. It would be a bummer if all of the Nova were bland like that.
