Damn I've missed that mask!
ReplyDeleteIs the artwork based on the costume designs from the movie? Looks good to me. I loved the mask in the 2008 comics. Glad it's back!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is! They are redesigning Starlord to match up with the look from the film. I think most fans are happy about that.
DeleteGod this is so sexy. Not only the cover and art in general, but the whole movie jacket and that mask being back. They neeeeed to keep it. Forever.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they do keep it forever! Either that or we see a return of Volume 2 outfits!
DeleteI missed the mask.
ReplyDeleteAre they just using the movie costume on the cover? Or will he be wearing it in the actual issue?
ReplyDeleteHe'll have it in the actual issue too.
DeleteI don't know about you guys, but I actually really like his modern costume. I never really thought the 2008 looked practical for space exploration, but, I must attest, I did miss the mask, which I felt was the only good piece of his 2008 version.
ReplyDeleteI like the look, honestly. It looks unique. Gives him "style". The newer costume was too... I don't want to say "generic", but... it made him look like any typical space character.
ReplyDeleteHis newer costume looked kind of lame to me. I'm glad they are making him look more like his movie counterpart.
