New GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Comic Releases: 4/23/14

-------------- OUT NOW --------------

Guardians of the Galaxy #14
Written by Brian Michael Bendis, Dan Abnett, and Andy Lanning
It's finally here! The 100th issue of Guardians of the Galaxy (of all time). How are the Guardians adjusting back to life without the X-Men? Also, two new standalone stories from Guardians legends, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. One features the original Guardians, and the other is about Groot on his homeworld of Planet X! This is a BIG issue, so make sure you pick it up!
$4.99

Original Sin #0
Written by Mark Waid
This is the beginning of Original Sin, the latest Marvel event, which is basically a murder mystery (Who killed The Watcher?). While the issue mainly focuses on Sam Alexander, the new Nova, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora do make a brief appearance in the comic. Also, the Guardians of the Galaxy comic will be tying into this event, so you may want to keep up with it, just in case.
$3.99

That's all for this week. Will you be picking up Guardians of the Galaxy #14 or Original Sin #0? Let us know what you think in the comment section below!

  1. Who killed Uatu the Wathcer? Garthan Saal? A celestial? Richard Rider? Thanos? A herald of Galactus? Joe Quesada? A new villain?

    1. I think it was Squirrel Girl. She's always seemed sketchy to me.

  3. I enjoyed GOTG #14, but... am I the only one who thought it felt oddly disjointed? Almost like we missed an issue and didn't realize it? It felt like I got dropped into a story halfway through.

  4. I liked the comic a lot, but I am in total agreement regarding the disjointed missing info. The prologue mentions a bit about Angela figuring out her place in the new cosmos, but where is she, and how did everyone get separated? I am thinking that Gamora and Angela slept together and then they both split due to their confused emotional states. I think that part got cut to keep the teen rating. I especially like the Knowhere scenes and all the Star Wars references: Light Sabers, Han Solo's blaster, Boba Fett's helment on the bar, the Tattooine Cantina dialogue.
