We've got two new
Guardians of the Galaxy TV spots. The first one doesn't show any new footage (because it is a fan edit), but features a more serious tone than the previously released tv spots and trailers. The second one shows more new footage, including a hilarious moment for Star-Lord.
Check them out below!
Wow, is the first one really an 'official' trailer? Looks fan-made for some reason... :(
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the 2nd one is definitely much better...
"You mean seriously?!"
Yeah the first one is just weird.
DeleteFor some reason, Rocket sounds a bit weird with that "we're just getting started" line. Doesn't sound like the other clips we've heard from Bradley.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is definitely NOT Bradley's/Rocket's voice
DeleteYes very strange. In earlier released footage it has Rocket saying"this one here is our booty" (or something like that) to the exact same clip.
DeleteRhomann and Quill! It's like the prequel to the Richie Richie Rider/Pete Quill epic Bromance.
ReplyDeleteI guess the first one is fan made
ReplyDeleteThe second one has some choppiness to it. Like it was rushed.
ReplyDeleteEven after seeing the second TV spot, I still think Guardians of the Galaxy will be Marvel's next billion dollar hit.
ReplyDelete"...even after..."...wait, seriously??
DeleteUh, yeah. I still think Guardians will be Marvel's next billion dollar hit even after watching the newest TV spot.
DeleteI really don't think you should get your hopes up as I doubt GOTG will hit the billion dollar mark. I understand your enthusiasm for the movie and like myself I'm ridiculously excited. If you take into account that only one of the films out of LOTR, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Iron Man, James Bond franchises made more than a billion and the likes of Thor, Cap.America franchises haven't I think its a bit too hopeful for a relatively unknown comic to do so.
DeleteHowever GOTG DOESNT need to hit a billion to be a massive hit and secure sequels.
Don't worry about it reaching that figure. Lets just hope the movie is awesome and meets our expectations.
One thing to bear in mind when making box offices predictions: if I can remember correctly, The Sixth Sense remains the highest-grossing film ever to be released in August, and that grossed around $670 million. So if you're predicting any more than that, you're suggesting this will be the highest-grossing August film OF ALL TIME. August is a notoriously tricky month for films to get a foothold in cinemas. Stranger things have happened, but just something to factor into your calculations.
DeleteNot only is the movie making a billion dollars EXTREMELY unlikely, but it even making half of that would be seen as a major achievement and a win for Marvel.

I know. I saw the trailer and it even looks like even more that Guardians will indeed be Marvel's next billion dollar hit. Only 45 more days left to go until it comes out, baby!
